CDA/Early Childhood teaching qualification OR experience teaching necessary.
Must also be able to submit to background checks.
Requirements:
· Be at least 18 years of age
· Have a high school degree or equivalent education
· Submit to various background checks
· Be CPR, First Aid certified or obtain certification upon hire
· Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a group of children alone in a classroom
· Possess a strong work ethic, be punctual, and have minimal absences
· Have an awareness of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations of their abilities
· Be of reasonable fitness to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push and pull
· Be available for full time employment and available to work as late as 5:30 pm
· Have dependable transportation
· Early childhood experience/CDA preferred
Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to, the following:
· Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development
· Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times
· Assist children with activities of daily life (e.
g.
, restroom use, dressing)
· Be comfortable discussing a child’s day with their parent as well as engagement in parent/teacher conferences.
This also includes ongoing assessment and reporting of children's progression.
· Be of reasonable fitness to clean and maintain an environment that is safe for all children
· Ability to develop and creative an engaging and educational, Christian program for your class.
· Maintain a professional self-image and project the values of the organization at all times
