REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Is directly accountable and responsible to the Director of Athletics.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for supporting and assisting the Director of Athletics with the athletic function of the college.
Responsible for the development, management, coordination, recruitment, and supervision of the Women’s Basketball program, including student-athlete skill development, retention, and academics eligibility.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with Bismarck State College, State Board of Higher Education, North Dakota State, National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) rules, and federal Title IX regulations as they relate to Athletics.
Responsible for the management of the Women’s Basketball team budget and assist the Director of Athletics in fundraising events.
Responsible for coordination of operations for games, and total fan experience at home games.
Benefits COMPENSATION: $74,328 - $74,328 based on directly related experience.
May be eligible for a salary increase after six months.

Position Description & Details Operations Coordination – 45% Coordinate with coaches on monthly gym schedule for practices and games.
Facilitate event set-ups for home games (including ingress), changeovers, and event support including non-BSC facilities that may be hosting a BSC athletics event.
Facilitates and coordinates game day supervision of home events.
Provides a timing script for announcers at all home events and travel itineraries for away events.
Assist the administrative assistant with managing and scheduling game day workers and officials.
Liaison to concessions including coordination of schedule with food service.
Design, develop, and implement a total fan experience not limited to theme nights, halftime contests, entertainment, and fan experience packages for athletic events.
Coordinate with coaches for the travel cost to align with budgets that include hotels, transportation, and team meals.
Coordinate the transportation (bus driver/state fleet) on scheduling dates and leave times.
Coaching – 50% Recruit the required number of intercollegiate level student-athletes for the Women’s Basketball program, per program requirements specified on the employment contract.
Supports and coordinate the Women’s Basketball student-athletes on enrollment procedures, academic programs, and financial aid.
Responsible for the Women’s Basketball student-athlete to ensure all student-athletes are academically eligible, making progress towards degree completion, and to utilizing the Learning Skills Center when needed.
Facilitates sports techniques, playing rules, strategies, and playing tactics.
Facilitates sportsmanship, respect, and appreciation for diversity towards athletics and the community.
In cooperation with the Director of Athletics, schedules games and tournaments for the Women’s Basketball team.
Manages the budget for the Women’s Basketball Team.
Coordinates the purchase, inventory, repair, and maintenance of uniforms/supplies for the Women’s Basketball team.
Schedules and supervises practices for the Women’s Basketball team.
Schedule and support the Strength and Conditioning coach for physical conditioning and training including attendance, intensity, and work ethic.
Supervises assistant coach(s) for the Women’s Basketball Team.
Conducts post-season analysis, player development, and summer training plans.
Required to participate and support student-athlete attendance at BSC athletic events.
Miscellaneous – 5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
