As a Swim Instructor at our YMCA, you'll have the opportunity to help students learn to swim in a fun and safe environment.

In this role, you can look forward to:
Delivering high-quality, safe swimming lessons that ensure every moment in the water counts toward our students' learning and water exploration.
Implementing the YMCA Swim Lessons curriculum to make a positive impact on our students' lives by teaching and modeling water skills, water safety, and fitness.
Collaborating with our Lifeguards to set up the pool area for lessons and maintain a clean, safe environment.
Keeping student records, following the guidance of the Swim Lessons Coordinator.
Following a well-structured lesson plan for each session.

9:00 am-12:30 pm
11:30 am-1:30 pm

We are looking for someone who displays the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
No WSI or Lifeguard Certification is required, as we provide an excellent YMCA Swim Instructor training program! CPR & First Aid Certification and Child Abuse prevention training courses must be completed within 90 days of hire and are provided by the YMCA.
This position is open to candidates ages 16 and older.
The First International Bank & Trust Family Splash Center at the YMCA opened in April 2019.
The warm water, renovated pool will offer water slides and play features, swim lessons, fitness classes and lap swim, therapeutic jets for hydro therapy, and Birthday Party program & space.
