DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide safe transportation for the Early Childhood program to and from appointments; conduct monthly fire drills for the safety of the staff and children; maintain, upkeep and clean Early Childhood Tracking Office and vehicles.
Driving Duties and Responsibilities:
Transport parent and client to occupational therapy; physical therapy and other appointments scheduled by director.
Driver will be required to stay over night on trips out of town.
Observe all traffic regulations and maintain a safe driving speed at all times and under all conditions.
Keep daily log of mileage, fuel and oil used.
Fire Marshall Duties and Responsibilities:
Update fire plan annually.
Conduct fire escape plans.
Fire detectors checked once a week.
Keeps records of all activities, plans, drill and fire equipment associated with fire plans.
Custodial Care :
Vacuum and clean the carpet on a regular basis.
Clean and disinfect restrooms, sinks, toilet bowls and floors.
Keep office grounds maintained, which includes mowing, picking up waste, shoveling snow from sidewalks.
Make all repairs promptly and report to director.
Orders janitorial supplies to ensure continuous supply on hand.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have high school diploma or GED.
Must have desire to work with families.
Must have valid Driver's License and insurable.
No DUI's in the past three years.
Applicant must submit at least three references.
Must complete physical exam and TB skin test.
Applicant must sign paperwork to process background check.
Must have never been charged or convicted of child abuse/neglect or any violent crimes.
Must complete CPR and First Aide training.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must complete a physical examination, TB test and hepatitis shot within thirty (30) days of hire.
Applicant must sign the necessary paperwork to permit background check at the Tribal level and the State level; that applicant has never been convicted of child abuse/neglect or any violent crimes.
Must follow program policies on time and attendance.
Must complete CPR and First Aide Training within ninety (90) days of hire.
Must be able to work independently.
Must have a vehicle and valid driver's license with appropriate insurance and be willing to travel to Head Start Centers and communities, sometimes in evenings and weekends.
Must sign confidentiality agreement.
Must have good driving record.

The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Early Childhood Tracking Systems Director.
