This position is responsible for employment growth and development and must have a thorough knowledge of employment trends, and community and customer needs.
This position engages in a variety of marketing activities including oral and written presentations on employment opportunities to community businesses and potential partners, making calls to businesses to seek position openings and develop relationships with the employment community.
The Employment Coordinator must be versed in the most current rehabilitation technologies.
This position is directly responsible for the supervision of the job coaching staff and coordination of schedules to meet the needs of each individual employed in the community.
This position operates independently, with intermittent supervision.
In keeping with the values and philosophy of Pride, the person filling this position may occasionally be required to carry out or assist with other tasks in addition to the specific duties listed on their Position Description.

The primary responsibility is to promote the growth, well-being and autonomy of the individuals served.
Growth refers to the maturation of the individual in an age-appropriate manner.
Well-being reflects the preferences of the individual.
Autonomy is the ability of the individual in ensuring that they have the support needed to maintain control over their environments and life events.

Represent Pride to area businesses and organizations, to expand the employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Be responsible for screening individuals for the appropriateness and availability of job placement and supported employment.
4.
Be responsible for scheduling staff and performing job coaching duties when necessary.
5.
Maintain documentation of employer contacts, worker placement records, and other activity as deemed necessary.
6.
Responsible for the hiring, training, supervision, and support of the Employment Specialists (Job Coaches).
7.
Continually monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of job coaching performance.
Complete annual performance reviews.
8.
Responsible for working effectively with referring agencies, case management systems and other identified entities to ensure that requested services are provided.
9.
Responsible for the day-to-day budget oversight of Vocational Development, Supported Employment, Mental Health and other programs, as assigned, under the direction of the VSA.
10.
Develop initial program design and curriculum for new program options.
11.
Actively participate in organizations whose purpose is to enhance inclusion.
12.
Be knowledgeable of current labor laws.
13.
Portray themselves and the agency in a professional manner.
14.
Attend agency staff meetings, participate in agency sponsored in-service training, and independently enhance personal/professional development.
EDUCATION 1.
Minimum requirement of Bachelors Degree in human service area, marketing, education or public relations, preferred.
2.
ND Driver's License and proof of insurance.
EXPERIENCE 1.
4 years supervisory experience, preferred.
