MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Software Developer Associate: ($52,890 - $67,360)
Requires a working knowledge of computer programming normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in computer science, information technology (IT) or related field or equivalent experience.
Software Developer I: ($60,320 - $75,400)
In addition to four-year degree or equivalent experience noted above, two years of professional experience that includes relevant development tools along with system design and application development.
Software Developer II: ($$69,380 - $86,730)
In addition to four-year degree or equivalent experience noted above, four years of Information Technology experience with proven record of increasing work responsibility, effective analysis and project management.
CCB KEY SKILLS
Proficient with Java and SQL
Working knowledge of an Oracle database in a Unix or Linux operating system.
Understanding of inner workings of Customer Information Systems.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

This position is located in Bismarck, ND or Boise, ID but may consider a remote work location in the United States where MDU Resources is authorized to do business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Works independently with clients and consultants on traditional maintenance and enhancement tasks and/or as part of a team of developers on major projects.
Reviews, analyzes, evaluates, and documents requested modifications to existing and new business processes and system applications.
Assists senior staff members or project leads in the study of feasibility and cost effectiveness of proposed enhancements.
Provides production support to address application errors encountered during processing.
Such support may require on-call duties extending beyond normal business hours.
On-call duties are shared with other team members on a rotating basis as determined by the manager.
Participates in software development activities as well as guides activities of other staff members; develops test plans, test data and documentation.
Performs required testing to ensure the system functions in accordance with the business requirements established by the user.
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
