POSITION SUMMARY: This position will work on drafting routine to complex process mechanical piping projects utilizing Computer Aided Drafting programs and design software.
This position's main focus is in RNG projects.
Project work will involve: RNG facilities related to dairy farms, landfills, and or waste water treatment projects.
Other piping projects may include water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and wastewater lift stations.

Responsibilities: Essential Functions & Responsibilities: In coordination with a team of surveyors, project managers, engineers and technicians, performs routine to complex process mechanical piping design projects, such as renewable natural gas.
Works with engineer or designer on full plan development.
May prepare drawings from rough sketches or interpretation of field notes.
Draw, read, and understand Block Flow Diagrams (BFD's), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD's).
Draw, read, and understand P&ID's to create and design 3d piping from.
Create and properly annotate Orthographic Drawings (ORTHO's), Piping Isometric Drawings (ISO's), from the Plant 3d model with complete Bill of Materials (BOM).
Assists in the development, modification, and application of three dimensional models in the appropriate design software.
May work with field staff to complete documentation of field conditions for eventual reproduction or as-built drawings.
Interprets "as built" and redline information and makes appropriate revisions to plans.
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong knowledge and abilities in AutoCAD Plant 3D software Proficiency in MS Office Suite Highly motivated with effective communication skills Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and flexibility Highly detail oriented Strong organizational skills Excellent listening and reading skills, including proofreading Good time management skills with ability to handle complex deadline driven workload Ability to work independently and also in a team of professionals Ability to embrace new technology and processes Knowledge of pipeline distribution systems, elevated/ground storage tanks, municipal and regional water supply systems, irrigation and water diversion systems, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and/or water collection systems Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
2-year technical degree in design and drafting or civil engineering technology preferred.
Experience: 4+ years drafting experience required.
AutoCAD Plant 3D and MS Office knowledge/experience required.
Experience using Revit is a plus.
Travel Expectations: Must be able to travel in-state and out-of-state on occasion, which usually would consist of visiting the outlying locations, attending seminars or business meetings.
Minimum travel is 10-20% of the time depending on projects.
