ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist Sanitation Assistants in minor equipment cleaning and sanitation.
Assist Dish room Staff in dishwashing duties.
Maintain hand sinks, floors, coolers and storage areas.
Maintain chemical levels, garbage and recycle items throughout plant.
Maintain all records as applicable.
Follow all company policies and procedures to produce safe, quality and legal products.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, CHARACTERISTICS
Knowledge of proper HACCP and GMP procedures and use lean manufacturing principles in all areas.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
Ability for bending, stooping, walking, reaching, grasping, carrying are required on a constant basis.
Ability to stand on feet for entire work shift, normally 8 hours, is required, however, overtime may be required during peak periods.
Ability to problem-solve and communicate clearly.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
Ability to think and work safety and work safely at all times and must follow all proper ergonomic and safety practices.
Ability to lift 52 pounds occasionally.
Must possess above average skills of the English language (understanding, speaking and reading).
Must be able to perform simple math problems, including addition, subtraction and multiplication.
JOB SUMMARY
The Custodian is responsible for cleaning bathrooms, break rooms, offices and floors and stairs.
This includes countertops, cabinets, tables, chairs, toilets, mirrors, walls, desktops and all surfaces and equipment in area.
It includes restocking the supplies as needed and monitoring chemical usage.
