Position Description & Details
We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant for Buildings and Grounds.
This position plays a crucial role in providing essential office support services and ensuring the smooth functioning of daily operations.
General Office Support: Perform a variety of office support duties to contribute to the efficiency of the Buildings and Grounds department.
Data Coordination: Coordinate and maintain data, reports, and other relevant information for the Buildings and Grounds department.
Innovation and Creativity: Support and contribute ideas to enhance processes, functions, and overall efficiency within the department and the college.
Additional Duties: Perform other assigned duties to meet the evolving needs of the department.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Continuously – 66-100% - Use hands dexterously, talk, or hear.
Frequently – 34-65% - Reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, or sit.
Occasionally – 1-33% - Climb or balance, stoop/kneel/crouch, or crawl or lift to 25 pounds.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience: Appropriate associate degree and two years of directly related experience or four years of directly related work experience.
Computer Skills: Good knowledge of computer software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access), electronic calendar, e-mail, etc.
Strong keyboarding skills are essential.
Office Procedures: Good working knowledge of office procedures and telephone etiquette.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to individuals of varying ages and backgrounds.
Customer Service: Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
Communication Skills: Good written communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
Confidentiality: Maintain a disciplined approach and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
